What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is an ordinary link to a shop that also tells the shop the visit came from PropDesk. If you buy something afterwards, the shop may pay us a small commission.

The price you pay is exactly what it would have been without the link. The commission is paid out of the retailer's margin, not added to your bill.

Commission never buys a recommendation

This is the part that matters, so it gets said plainly.

Component suggestions, rankings, and the output of every tool (Analyze, From Goals, Complete Build, Cost Optimizer) are driven by physics and data: thrust, efficiency in grams per watt, safety margins, and price. They are not influenced by which retailer pays us, or how much. No component is ever ranked higher because it earns us more, and no retailer can buy placement.

Put bluntly: if the honest answer is the cheaper part that earns us nothing, that is the part the tool shows you. A recommendation engine that can be bought is worthless, and PropDesk only has a reason to exist if you can trust the numbers.

Prices are indicative, always check the source

Prices shown inside PropDesk are indicative figures used for comparison, and they go out of date. We do not attempt to be a live price tracker, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

Every price-bearing element links out to the retailer so you can see the real current price before you buy. Look for the “check price” link. Where a price is shown, we also say where and when it was checked.

Which programmes we use

Affiliate relationships are established progressively as programmes are approved. Where a link earns us a commission, it points to retailers in the drone and FPV market, for example weBLEEDfpv, BetaFPV, RaceDayQuads, Banggood, or 3DXR.

Not every outbound link is an affiliate link. Many are plain references to a manufacturer or datasheet and earn us nothing at all. We keep this page current as partnerships change.

What this does not mean

An affiliate relationship is a payment arrangement, nothing more. It does not mean a retailer sponsors PropDesk, endorses it, reviews its content, or has any say in what we build or publish. No manufacturer or shop has editorial influence over the component database or the tools.

Your choice

You are never required to use our links. Search for any component directly and buy wherever you like. The tools, the results, and the data are identical either way.

Using our links is simply a way to support PropDesk at no cost to yourself. It is appreciated, and it is entirely optional.
